Rude Millennial is a blog created for Millennials by a Millennial who is proud of her generation for never giving up or giving in, despite going through crisis after crisis and being chided at every turn by older generations. We are accused of being entitled, spoiled, and needing our participation trophies, even though it was our Baby Boomer parents who fostered this sort of attitude in us. They told us to get good grades and jobs and partners and have kids and everything would be fine, not telling us we’d have crippling student loan debt, a sh*t economy, and that our degrees are about as useful as toilet paper when we put them on our resume to find employment in the first place-plus when you have kids, that is more expensive by the day!

While I think ageism is just as bad as any other -ism, I have to say that the septugenarians and octogenarians running our government at this very moment are not doing a good job, and it’s time for them to usher in the next generation in each branch of government so that we can take the yoke. It’s our time to look out for future generations, so that they can live in a free country on this beautiful planet we inhabit (and need to take much better care of!).
