Executive Overreach

Executive overreach is a huge problem with the current administration. The White House Twitter/X account posted this picture on February 19, 2025:

Umm…There was a whole war on the topic of kings running the United States…sounds familiar…Rev-o-lution-ary War? Oh YEAH! That’s the one! Where we fought for our independence against the tyranny of King George III and the “Redcoats”!

I DO hope you remember learning about our country’s independence in school, it’s kind of important, along with documents like the ‘Declaration of Independence’ and ‘The Constitution.’

This country did not elect a king or a dictator. He has said in the past that he hopes to not even have elections in the future. Yeah, take that in. He wants us to just let him be king and f*cking pillage everything else with his best friend Elon.

So far, he’s done a lot of executive overreaching that he could have just not done and it would have been better. Like banning trans people from sports. Who does that actually help? Or invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, which doesn’t even really apply in this situation! Luckily he’s getting some pushback from the courts. Offering a buyout to federal workers and then taking it away. Firing and rehiring them. None of this helps anyone except him because Donald J. Trump is all Donald J. Trump cares about. And Elon Musk is all Elon Musk cares about. Wake up, people. He doesn’t care about you or me or any of us.

It’s a coup. It’s a power grab. He’s posting this sh*t from the official White House account! This is not okay. None of this is okay. We do not have kings in this country. We didn’t start that way, and I sure as hell hope we don’t end that way!

Resist all you can. Stay rude, my friends.
